This training is appropriate for psychologists, social workers and professional counselors.

Goals of Training

The goal of this workshop is to train mental health professionals to work with parents as part of a crisis intervention with adolescents. Participants will also learn how to use and interpret the Adolescent Clinical Screening Questionnaires (ACSQ) using StepOne for Parents as the administration system.

Objectives

Participants will be able to:

  • effectively use a comprehensive reference book for parents in their work with adolescents

  • describe the ethical and professional standards necessary to develop and operate an internet-based screening system

  • interpret and use the results of the ACSQ using the StepOne system
